Hi ,

We are planning to trek to Kedarnath and stay near the temple overnight. The next day, we plan to trek back down and stay near Sonprayag or Gaurikund (haven’t finalized which one yet).

We are slow walkers, so we might take the maximum time to reach the temple, although we can start early in the morning.

We have a few questions:

1. Is it possible to do darshan on the same day we reach Kedarnath?
   • If yes, which type of darshan is usually done?
   • What do most people typically do?
2. We saw options to book pujas like Shodashopachar and Sampurna Aarti online, but:
   • We are not sure if we can reach on time for the scheduled aarti
   • We read that even after booking online, we still need to stand in line at the counter to get a token slip — is that correct?
   • Will we be able to leave on time after attending Shodashopachar, considering our return plan?
3. Are there separate queues for people who book these pujas, or is it similar to general darshan?
   • We’re unsure how different the experience is, especially since these are quite expensive
