Hi so I'm going to CR for the first time in August, actually my first time in Latin America. I just wanted to ask how tipping culture is? I'm from the UK, where we only really tip in exceptional service, but tips are never really expected (bar tour guides).

Where does CR sit in the tipping scale? is it really an nice gesture but not expected, or a do it or I will spit in your coffee like the states 😂
