Just got the chain replaced by a shop (I was out of spares) and the chain now skips in some of the gears when I'm on the middle chainring. I wasn't having this problem with the chain before.

Everything I read tells me that specifically means the old chain wore down the cogs, and now the new chain won't work. But, I just didn't think my gears were that worn, (changed to this shimano cassette in 2021).

The shop measured the chain and they said it was just at the point (0.75) that they recommend changing. But now I've got the issue and I'm taking it back in.

Just wondering if I'm going to have to budget for a new rear cassette when I do.
