Seems like MPH is a dead end, is DrPH worth it?

Two years after obtaining my MPH and tireless hours of trying to network I've still found no luck in getting a job directly in Public Health. As it seems, nurses are getting the pick of the litter in this field leaving us non-clinical professionals out in the cold. As of late, I've recently been admitted into the doctoral program for public health at Morgan State. Although I'm proud of getting accepted, I'm wondering in the back of my mind if this is worth the next four years considering what I went through in my post-masters experience.

Anyone want to share any thoughts on this?

I cannot turn back no seeing how I already signed my letter of intent and so I'm going through it. I'm excited in a way because I have a chance to also publish research plus continue my research from my masters program. However, in 2030 (my projected graduation year) will the job market look favorably on me or will I crap out again?
