I have a light sensitivity problem where I can't look at strobing or flashing lights, and in the scene right after they "fish" the taumoeba from Planet Adrian, I could follow along while there was dialog, but then there wasn't. Something clearly happened to Rocky, as illustrated by the ash on the ship, he was out of his ball at some point, but can someone explain what happened? Clearly he hurt himself to save Grace somehow, but it's been a long time since I read the book.
Also, for bonus fake internet points, what happens at the very beginning of the movie? I'm assuming it was credits and a slideshow of pictures of the astrophage and the petrova line or something?
