Gary Williams
Raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Gary Williams developed an intimate understanding of the federal criminal justice system through firsthand experience that few professionals in the field can offer. At a young age, he became involved in drug trafficking, which ultimately led to multiple federal convictions and a sentence that resulted in more than two decades of incarceration within the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
During his time in custody, Gary was housed in numerous high-security United States Penitentiaries as well as several medium-security Federal Correctional Institutions. This extensive exposure to different security levels and institutional environments provided him with a rare, comprehensive perspective on how the federal prison system operates across all classifications.
While incarcerated, he dedicated himself to mastering the administrative and procedural aspects of the Bureau of Prisons. He developed a deep understanding of policies and processes that are often overlooked or not fully understood by criminal defense attorneys, including sentence computation, credit for time served, facility designation, custody classification, and internal administrative remedies.
Today, Gary leverages this knowledge to work alongside defense attorneys, offering strategic insight during the critical pre-incarceration phase. His unique background allows him to help position clients for the most favorable outcomes possible within the system, while also preparing them for the realities of federal custody.
