Has anyone in Texas gone through the OCI process for a minor and gotten the parental authorization form notarized?

I took the form to a notary, but they said they couldn’t notarize it under Texas rules since the document doesn’t have proper notarial wording.

Curious what others in Texas have done, did you use a separate acknowledgment, go to a specific type of notary, or something else that worked?

Would really appreciate any guidance from people who’ve done this recently.

Hi I am ready with my minor’s OCI application, but heard that the rules have changed again. For reference I printed all docs, and it took me months to get the supportive docs and apostille docs.

Now I am about to mail physical application to VFS Houston but heard that major change has occurred.

What has changed? Can anyone clarify?

I could find little info online on CGI Houston or VFS’s website.

Thanks in Advance.
