Most translated <Iliad> materials here in Korea often translated the part depicting Achilles as him having blonde haired, but I recently read a material that his hair might have been red.

It said the term xanthe has a wide definition varying from bright blonde to reddish colors, and Achilles' son Neoptolemus was called Pyrrhus since he had red hair, so the hero would be obviously closer to red-haired.

What do you think about this opinion?
