Mazda 3 AT light flashes, car jerks then keeps going
I have a 2012 Mazda 3 with 169000 miles. Over the past week I’m driving on the highway going about 60-75 mph and after driving for about 10-15 minutes the car will jerk. The AT light flashes. Rpms get high. Then gets to normal and keeps on driving. Will happen once or twice on my commute to work about every other day. I’ve also seen the AT light flash sitting at a red light or when I was in a drive through. Read some other posts saying it might be a TCM but the computer doesn’t pick up any codes after trying to scan on three different times.
Is it a safe bet the TCM needs to be replaced or is there another underlying issue? Never had an issue shifting ever. Even before and after the AT light can flash the car will run smooth like nothing happened. Oil has been changed within the past three weeks.
