Hi, my name is Nguyen Duc Tri from Vietnam.

Many of you have probably noticed GitHub becoming slower, more unstable, and flooded with low-quality auto-generated code and PRs from AI agents in recent weeks. Actions failing, search lagging, and general performance issues are becoming more frequent. This is the reality when a platform is not designed to handle the current explosion of agentic workflows.

At the same time, some of us are working on something different.

I’m building Adaptive Intelligence Circle (AIC) — an independent, non-profit open-source initiative focused on ethical AI from the kernel level since April 2025. We operate under strict zero-donation, strong governance, and a “Third Path” philosophy: independent from both Big Tech profit motives and state control.

We are not trying to compete with Big Tech. We are trying to build systems that can survive and stay principled even when the surrounding infrastructure is under heavy pressure from AI usage.

Right now we are looking for serious contributors who care about:

  • Ethical architecture and introspection mechanisms
  • Self-Sovereign Identity and recovery systems
  • Transparent governance and long-term sustainability
  • Building something that prioritizes human meaning over rapid scaling

What makes AIC different is not just the vision, but how we’re trying to build it:

  • We maintain a strict zero-donation policy to stay truly independent.
  • We’ve implemented a Fork Monitor system to transparently track forks and protect the project’s core principles and license.
  • We’ve built a Reputation System based on meaningful in-kind contributions rather than funding or hype, so people are recognized for real impact and alignment with our values.

This is unpaid work. We value depth, alignment with principles, and long-term thinking more than volume of commits. If you’re tired of the current AI hype cycle and want to contribute to a project that tries to stay grounded in responsibility, you might be a good fit.

Current focus areas: core architecture, governance framework, security, and documentation.

If you’re interested, feel free to comment below or send me a message. Serious inquiries only — I’m happy to have a real conversation.

Thank you for reading — we all benefit from a healthy open source ecosystem.

I'm Nguyễn Đức Trí (2004), founder of Adaptive Intelligence Circle (AIC) — an independent, non-profit open-source initiative from Vietnam, hosted by Open Collective.

We are building a different kind of open technology that we can understand as an AI protocol: one that puts ethics at the kernel level, operates under strict zero-donation principles, and follows a genuine Third Path — independent from both Big Tech profit motives and state control.

Our focus areas include:

  • Ethical-from-kernel architecture.
  • Self-Sovereign Identity
  • Distributed recovery & resilience
  • Transparent governance

We are particularly looking for contributors from Europe who value:

  • Long-term thinking and principled development
  • Strong governance and legal clarity
  • Ethical technology that serves human autonomy and meaning

We are also looking for 1–5 contributors (high-trust, voluntary role) to help with maintenance, security, and governance — especially people with OSS maintainer experience who align with our core principles.

This is not a paid position. We operate entirely on in-kind contributions from people who believe in the mission.

If you are based in Europe (or anywhere) and this direction resonates with you, I’d be happy to have a conversation. Serious inquiries only.

Thank you so much and have a good day.

Hi r/PROJECT_AI,

I'm Nguyễn Đức Trí, the founder of Adaptive Intelligence Circle (AIC), a small independent non-profit open-source project.

The project is focused on exploring ethical AI infrastructure, with emphasis on building from the system kernel upward, transparent governance, and long-term independence. We operate under a strict zero-donation model and aim to maintain a neutral third path separate from large corporations and state-driven initiatives.

Currently the project consists of around 40 repositories covering areas such as core architecture, introspection mechanisms, identity systems, recovery protocols, and governance framework. Most work so far has been done by the founder, with limited external contribution.

We are looking for:

  • General contributors who are interested in systems-level AI, ethical design, documentation, or governance work.
  • Especially, 1–2 Trusted Admins to help with repository maintenance, security oversight, issue triage, and long-term stewardship. This is a high-trust role requiring prior open-source experience and strong alignment with the project’s principles.

This is not a paid position. All contributions are voluntary and in-kind. We are looking for people who genuinely care about the direction and values of the project.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, feel free to comment below or send me a message. I’m happy to provide more details and answer any questions.

Thank you for your time, and I appreciate the work this community does in supporting open source.
