Med school in the US from Canada
Hi all, I’m a parent and totally new about this system in NA. We live in Canada. This is for my daughter and we have a few questions.
What are the common premed majors typically recommended for med path in Canada? Heard HealthScience is common, but in the US you need any Biology related degree. Is that true?
Are Canadians eligible to apply medschools in the US too? What’s the acceptance rate for Canadians if anyone aware of?
Given the admission rate is very low in Canada, would it be better if we do the premed also in the US now itself (ofc high cost international tution fee), so getting into Med school would be easy compared to Canada?
Really appreciate if anyone could help with these questions. Sorry, Im asking basic questions, but this anxiety is getting really bad on me.
