So my school has entrance exams for IB. Now they added IB newly to the school (they started IB roughly last year, first year of IB was 2024-2025), and now they're making entrance exams for the people who want to join IB for the years 2026-2028, in Math, English, and the science that they chose in HL (I chose Physics). The material for Physics is A1, Math is things we took from grades 8-10, English is also first-level IB English, focusing on analysis and stuff like that. I'm genuinely panicking over the entrance exams even though I have them the week after next week, since they're literally a career-defining exam. What baffles me even more is that the IB head in our school said there are 49 candidates and 28 seats, and the people who joined the google classroom for IB are only 20, which within itself is under the 28-seat limit, and we don't have that many people that join IB from outside of our school (they don't exceed 5 people).
So anyone who took IB entrance exams, any advice? And do you guys think my school is messing around since there are only 20 people who joined the google classroom for IB that has the material for entrance exams on them, and might they just make the entrance exam a diagnostic since we're all only 20/28 people?
Thanks a bunch!
