Landing in Lima at 3am alone. What do I do?

I’m a female landing alone in Lima at 3am and am extremely scared about what I’ve been reading on here: Ubers stage robberies, there are tons of scams, and some drivers don’t even have their license or are criminals. I speak a good amount of Spanish but I’m not fluent.

What do I do? I know there is no “perfectly safe” option. Should I stay in the airport until the sun rises at 5 am or even 7am then get a taxi or are there vetted drivers at these taxi companies.

Any advice helps I am very nervous.

How do I get to Airbnb at 3am?

I am a solo female traveler and am extremely nervous that my flight lands at 3am. I am considering staying inside the airport until 5-7 am so that the sun is up. I can speak a good amount of Spanish.

I keep reading such conflicting advice on what to do. Some people say to go straight to the official taxi desks, others say go straight for uber. I am somewhat paranoid about getting kidnapped or having a staged robbery happen to me. I don’t have anything valuable in me but I look super gringa and I’m afraid I will seem like an easy target.

The fee to apply is $75 and I heard it can be very selective. Since the application opened over 2 months ago do you think the spots will be filled up? Would love some advice.
