I occasionally fill in cleaning houses with my daughter in law for her cleaning business, but have never had to clean bricks inside a home.
My bedroom has red brick floors as well as 2.5 walls surrounding a brick fireplace.
I’m not sure what the room was initially intended as, there is another room connected by pocket doors that I assume was used as the previous renters living room.
I have used this room for 9 years as my bedroom and I love it, but the red brick is my nemesis.
I have cleaned it so many times, but it never looks nice after it dries.
Some areas around the fireplace are greyish from the ash, but the entire room needs help.
The floors have to be done by hand, if I use any sort of mop the water pools in the caulk (grout?) between the bricks.
I’ve been told maybe a steam cleaner will work?
I don’t want to spend the money unless I am sure , so I’m hoping someone here has experience and can point me in the right direction.
