SVT 353 HR?!?
Hello,
F, 24, 5 ft 4, 153 lbs.
Conditions: Asthma, Bleeding disorder, pelvic congestion syndrome, and bilateral may thurners.
I’ve had suspected SVT since 2021. I have a very long history of IST and suspected POTS (one cardiologist thinks I have it, the other doesn’t). My heart rate is normal when resting, low even but when I stand, lightly exercise, get anxious, or anything of that nature, my heart rate easily gets to 170+.
Symptoms: lightheadedness, feeling a thump/heart beat in throat, and fatigue. These are on and off.
Triggers: walking upstairs, bending over, sexual intercourse, elevators, running, and the heat.
Anyways, after many 7-14 day heart monitors, they thought they caught episodes but not enough to definitively say yes or no. So, now I have a loop recorder. I see a normal cardiologist and an EP cardiologist (he does not think I have SVT but IST and dysautonomia.
I got the loop recorder history and the cardiologist (not EP) told me my HR was at 353 for over a minute. That absolutely freaked me out because I have told him multiple times when they have seen heart rates of 200+ I feel absolutely NOTHING. Which makes absolutely no sense seeing as I feel awful when my heart rate is 170+.
Looking at these ECG readings, does this appear to be artifact? I’m awaiting an appointment with EP to review these specifically.
