I don’t know why this has been wracking my brain but I’ve seen so much debate on which is better tasting. But I’m just trying to decipher which is which. I know there’s two types but I want to put the name to the taste. There’s one that’s very sweet. Almost forms a dry layer on top after it’s been sitting out. You can taste the little sugar particles crushing between your teeth. Then there’s the heavy less sweet frosting that almost tastes like it’s been made with Splenda and leaves a waxy film on your mouth. It stays wet the entire time. Which one is the whipped icing and which one is the buttercream ?!?!
