I’ve seen big rodents in my law school building three separate times now. They’re either small rats or large mice — the coloring makes them look more like rats. They’ve been coming out during the day when people are around, which makes me think this isn’t just a one-off and there’s probably a much larger infestation.
For context, I have a serious phobia of rats and mice, so I’m trying to gauge whether I’m overreacting. But given that we’re paying roughly $80k/year in tuition, I’m honestly shocked this is happening at all.
I actually mentioned it to someone in the registrar’s office after one ran out while I was in there, and she just laughed. Beyond the fear factor, I’m genuinely concerned about sanitation, especially with the recent spread of hantavirus in the news.
Has anyone else dealt with this at their school? Curious if I should be pushing harder on this or if rodents in old law school buildings are just… a thing everyone deals with.
