Noticed a lot of long-term remote workers who have the flexibility to work from a more affordable destination (e.g. SEA) for months at a time.

Out of curiosity, is it usually documented in their contracts that they're allowed to work from anywhere in the world, while still paying taxes at the end of the year to the country they're employed from? Asking as it's usually a big deal even if I work for a week from another country because of "tax liabilities" or something.

Don't see how working in a country where I have visa-free travel for 90-180 days remotely would be a legal issue though, but for those who are more well-versed in the legal technicalities of this, please correct me!

Hello!

I'm going to Busan in May, and was thinking of buying a pair of frames from Gentle Monster then making transition prescription lenses there directly. Do you have any recommendations for an optician that:

  1. Speaks English (so that the eye check would be easier)

  2. Can make the glasses in a quick turnaround time of <1 week (will be leaving by then)

  3. *Ideally* sells Crizal transition lenses (heard they're more affordable in Korea)

I'm probably going to get prescription transition lenses + blue light; am less fussed about the brand but Crizal or other similar lens brands would be good.

Would also be very helpful if you've made glasses in Busan, and have a rough price estimate! Thank you!
