When it's come to totalitarianism regimes (Fascism, Colonialism, Communism and more), they commonly have this modernisation, industrialisation, unification, standardisation and universalism of common official culture while eliminating all "outdated primitive", minorities and diversities.
However, there's an odd one out and that is Turkmenistan dictatorship that breaks the norm for being traditionally conservative: folk culture.
No other totalitarian regimes ever (so far) has that f**king drip preserving and theming of folk culture.
Folk culture is usually about association of anti-totalitarianism and anti-oppression of humanity and citizen's identity pride but the table flipped, now folk culture is been corrupted into systematic oppression especially as it's identity.
If been victimised by regular folk culture (ethnic nationalism and cultural patriotism), victim is humiliate, shamed, traumatised and disproved by folk culture along the peoples (as the victim's enemy and boogyman) then you know how it's feel like to be victimised by Turkmenistan (especially if as local native citizen) without anything with Turkmentistan and related. Ethnonationalist Cultural Patriotist will laugh, threaten by as enemy and insult at their victim been hurt, harmed and destroyed by them with their ethnic heritage, ethnicity pride and folk culture but this the same thing Turkmenistan dictatorship regardless if a single change by swapping Ethnonationalist Cultural Patriotist into Turkmenistan dictatorship then nothing changed but the same.
Totalitarianism regime's own modernisation, standardisation, unification and universal drip is look down upon in disgrace , shame and hatred while Turkmenistan dictatorship just adopt the human empowering identity: folk culture, as it's own signature drip and abuse it like a sanctimonious.
