Hey I’m a senior in hs and I’m most likely going to accept my Guelph offer! I got guaranteed residence since I got accepted early. I haven’t paid the deposit yet for the residence but I’m wondering when I do eventually pay it will I most likely get my first preference? I put it for Watson but I know it’s a pretty small building.
The title pretty much sums it up. For context I live near UTM so commuting wouldn’t really be a problem. However, Guelph is pretty far so I’d have to stay in residence there. I’m pretty conflicted between the two because I know uoft is well known and prestigious, but it’s also a gpa killer and super advanced compared to Guelph. I also like the idea of having a coop for Guelph, but I know it’s pretty hard getting into coops for any uni so I don’t even know if I should be considering that. I heard uoft social life is so bad and everyone’s just focused on their studies (totally understandable) and Guelphs social life is way better. Can yall give me some pros and cons and which one I should most likely lean towards?
