How long did it take your independent cleaning business to make you a full time income?

My husband and I are looking to start a cleaning business. We want to use all clean products only. We are ready to leave our 9-5’s and build a business that we can be proud of. What are the first steps of starting a cleaning business? I need any and all advice. We live in Oregon!

Five months post op and my husband just had another follow up with his ENT and she told him that he’s healing fine from the surgery but she can see a few nasal polyps starting to form we are in the process of getting dpi and did you guys notice that dupixent made a difference for you? He’s super upset and overwhelmed by this. He does have an allergy to cats so I’m sure this is what is causing the inflammation. Im praying dupixent will be worth it.

My husband has over five years of experience in dog handling and is ready to launch his own “dog nanny” business. His goal is to provide a higher level of care than a standard dog walking service by offering personalized, in-home support for pets. Services would include dog walking, bathing, in-home boarding, and structured playtime tailored to each dog’s needs.

He has extensive experience working with a wide range of breeds and understands various behavioral traits, which allows him to provide attentive, knowledgeable care. Together, we plan to build this as a dedicated business, he will focus on client services and pet care, while I will manage marketing, including website development, social media, advertising, and branding materials such as business cards and flyers.

We are based in Oregon and aim to serve multiple cities, building a strong, reputable brand without relying on third-party platforms like Wag or Rover. Our goal is to create a trusted, independent business that offers a more personalized and reliable alternative for pet owners.
