This is not self advertisement.
I am an experienced video editor with over 10+ years of editing experience, started to edit videos when windows movie maker and Sony Ericson k750i editor was a thing.
But somehow after years of work on many projects I realized, that I have nothing to show in my portfolio to find clients on Youtube.
Most of my videos I made are not suitable for modern client needs and are outdated or not in the niche which clients are interested in.
I decided to make a new fresh portfolio including short content but also 6 long form videos in the niches/styles I working with. And since I don't want waste my time filming content myself for editing/ ripping others people videos for editing or just work "into the table" - I would like to offer to you a free video editing if your needs are similar to mine.
I will make ONE video for each of this style :
- Cinematic Talking Head "NETFLIX" alike. Example
- Entertaining Travel OR Asking Strangers questions/do something. Travel Blog Example , Asking Strangers Example
- Science/Journalistic Documentary. Journalistic Documentary Example
- Entertaining Show style. Entertaining Show Example 1 , Entertaining Show Example 2
- True Crime/True Horrors documentary. True Crime Example , True Horrors Example
- Infographics Documentary. Infographics Documentary Example
As a bonus will consider also "Geek Talking Head" , "Commentary Talking Head" and "Overview Style".
Right after that I will also need some short videos to make, but this is topic for another day, but stay tuned if you need free shorts.
IMPORTANT to understand, that I will make video for you in my free time out of my full time current job, so there's some things to keep in mind :
- There will be no time brackets on delivery, I will make a video for you whenever I can
- If I will manage to find several interested people at the same time - Order of editing will be made from "easiest/fastest" to more "advanced/long term"
- I will not make videos longer than 20 minutes
- After delivery you can use final video as you wish with full usage rights
- I will also upload final video on my spare Youtube channel for portfolio display purpuses, so you will need to add it as "no copyrighted" content on me. However - my uploaded copy of your video will be accessible only by the link.
- I am open for little twigs and fixes but no major changes on final delivered video.
- Your footage has to be in 1080p, No one needs your 4k unless you are big quality production, trust me
- Your footage has to be sorted and named. Please, use Google Drive and pre-cut or give me timings in text document of needed footage to cut for particular moment. I will not be able to go trough hours of your footages for free.
- If you wish to use specific stock footages or something specific - make sure to add it into the files, I will not be able to web surfing for anything specific besides general footages. Also make sure you have a rights on using it if you care.
All the transitions, vfx, sfx, extras are on me.
What you can expect in final result :
- Dynamic sound design.
- Dynamic transitions if needed.
- Hook over-editing on first minute for retention.
- Retention effects if needed.
- Overlays if needed.
- Chromakey if needed.
- Quick Cuts, Three/Four-Act Structure, Cold Opening, Hyper-Rhythmic Editing, Button End on your choice if needed.
- Musical accompaniment of your choice, make sure you have rights of use
- Sound balancing.
- Light color grading and color/gamma correction. Nothing Hollywood style.
- High bitrate encoding
- Upscale to 4k if possible/needed
- Light infographics editing, nothing over-colpicated except for "Infographics Documentary" style.
- Adding subtitles if possible (only with automation, no manual subtitles)
I hope I mentioned everything, since I making this post several hours to find all the examples and give information as detailed as I can.
For those who interested - I working in Premiere Pro for editing, Audition if needed complicated sound managing, Photoshop for images, After Effects for complicated infographics.
