Purchased from a dealer in the uk dealing in decorative antiques for £150 several years back, who unkindly called it The Ugly Goats, when I bought it I didn’t notice the signature of Felix Vallotton in the corner, after a bit of checking with the Felix Vallotton foundation it turns out this is fake. Nonetheless love the subject, colours and the composition but only know that it was bought from a country house in the south of France. Seems it’s from the interwar years and maybe a piece of alpine decorative art maybe from a lodge. But I’d love to know who painted it… anyone recognises the style/artist? And indeed anything else anyone might know… thanks if you can enlighten me
