Plant based lunch?

I am trying to transition to plant based diet. So far breakfast and dinner have been really easy for me. I’ve never really liked eggs or meat first thing in the morning and it’s super easy to make a tasty vegan dinner with lentils tofu or beans and still have a decent amount of protein. Lunch is what is really difficult for me, I prefer to avoid heavily processed foods and it’s hard to find plant based deli slices anyway and most sandwich alternatives like hummus or avocado just get soggy. I’m looking for something practical, healthy, balanced, and packable for work ideally that I don’t need to reheat. It’s hard to find a meal with sufficient protein that fits the bill (I’m not trying to have a ton, but just being mindful to get enough to sustain healthy exercise).

Rolling scars - has anyone done something that actually helped

I don’t have a large budget at all for this and some of the shares on here are super discouraging like people who have spent 30-50k with no results. What is actually effective for rollout scars that has anyone has success with? I can’t find any provider in my area that does subscision and a lot of newer treatments are also limited to me. I’m so desperate to fix the scars as they are really impacting my self esteem.

Best phở in Edmonton

My dad and I love phở but my favourite spot and his favourite spot make very different bowls. Since we can’t agree on a spot I was thinking of trying a couple new places to see if we can find a compromise. They don’t have to specialize in phở and I’m not looking for anything super specific, just looking for highly recommended Vietnamese places that serve a good bowl (or honestly anything else if you feel inclined to recommend). Tyia.

I was just watching the latest episode of 2 Purls and a Pod. In this ep., Sara, one of the hosts, talks about knitting the PetitKnit Uma scarf via reverse engineering rather than buying the pattern because it is so simple. As I have become more confident and experienced with knitting I have considered doing something like this a few times but just haven’t gotten around to it or fully committed to it. The question I have always wondered about reverse engineering a pattern is how to credit the designer while also knowing you may not have made a 100% replica, you can’t judge or vouch for the pattern writing, and you didn’t pay for the pattern since you recreated it from visuals. I’m not here to ask if it’s stealing because I really don’t think you can police the idea of a garment in that way, especially if you are just making one for yourself and aren’t sharing the steps you used to recreate it. Designers like PetitKnit also have a lot of variations of the same pattern listed separately, if I buy a sweater pattern and wanted to make a vest later I probably wouldn’t buy a pattern for something just a little different, I would probably just tweak the one I have.

So what do you think is the proper etiquette here in these situations, would you credit the designer fully the same way as the people who used the actual pattern (i.e. posting it on Ravelry as the pattern you referenced), would you consider it as a self drafted garment, or something in between? Very interested to hear everyone’s opinions on this.
