I wanted to thank this Reddit group for all the support and guidance throughout this journey! Without this group, I wouldn’t have known where to start with my exam prep. I feel obligated to share my experience, and I hope this helps others pursuing the PMP certification. Two years as a full time PM with no experience beforehand.

AR’s 35-hour Udemy exam prep course – I mostly had this running in the background, but it’s still a solid course to understand the role and terminology of project management. I would highly advise listening closely to the mindset section and taking notes for future reference. Overall, a solid course to gain your PDUs for the application.

AR’s 200 Ultra Hard PMP Questions – A great resource to understand the mindset, and the questions can be challenging. Take your time and really listen to his explanations.

AR’s Complete PMP Mindset (50 Questions) – Another great resource to understand the mindset and practice exam-like questions. Pause the video and try to answer before he does, then go through the explanations.

Scott Payne’s Spotify podcast – This made a huge difference and completely changed my approach to answering questions. I love his approach of reading the last sentence first and dissecting the question backwards. His personality is engaging, and I’d recommend listening in the car on the way to work!!

PMI Study Hall – The most important study material in my opinion. The practice exam questions are as close as it gets to the real thing. I scored a 63% on the full-length exam and left it at that. Around 75% on the mini exams, which felt a lot easier. Take plenty of time to read through all the right and wrong answers and their explanations.

I messed around with a few other resources, but this was the bulk of it. Use what works for you and your style of learning.

Have confidence going into the exam and use your breaks!! Wear blue if you’re superstitious. You got this!!
