I'm on 10/20 radiation treatments for IDC after a lumpectomy/oncoplastic reconstruction in early March, and my radiation oncologist asked me to start adding Gold Bond powder to my moisturizing regimen to prevent chaffing/reduce moisture in my armpit/under my breast.

I've never used any form of body powder before, and I don't understand the mechanisms of application.

Do I put it on before lotion/aloe? After? Something else?

How much is enough?

Do I need to reapply it throughout the day?

How do I avoid getting powder everywhere/on my clothes?

Is a powder spray any different/better than just powder?

I feel so stupid asking these questions...
