I am a New Investigator with a MIRA R35 (NIGMS) that scored 36. This is my first submission (submitted May 2025). I received JIT request soon after I got my score with a turnaround request of 2 business days (sometime in Jan 2026). JIT was addressed to me with my grant number in it but came from a different PO (although the specific PO for my application was cc'd, along with the GMS and my institution's AOR). I had some email exchanges with the PO around this time and they told me no updates as far as funding is concerned. My application then went Pending Administrative review in mid-April, with another clarification for Malign Foreign Talent Recruitment Program from the PO to be submitted within 2 business days or sooner (although this one looked more automated since it was not addressed to me but to my AOR, it was sent to my email though with the GMS and my institution's AOR cc'd).

Are grant applications that have switched to Pending Administrative Review seriously considered for funding? Do we know the estimate of those that turned into Pending but did not get funded? Since it turned Pending Administrative Review, I have not asked the PO about the status of the application (They might be very busy and stressed these days I am concerned I would add more to it, but I'm also a bit anxious about my grant)
