Should I try laser again?
I've been using the Bondi Body IPL handset at home and I haven't noticed any results at all. Has anyone had any success with it?
I have a lot of facial hair on my chin and under my chin which is seriously affecting me as I have a new boyfriend that I'm going on holiday with soon and I don't want him to know about my facial hair as it's a serious downer. I've been using Vaniqa for a very long time and although this has helped me, it doesn't get rid of it so I shave regularly (to be hair free I would have to do this every other day but I don't want it affecting my skin so I leave it as long as I can inbetween and hope people don't notice - I work from home so that helps!) I have had professional laser on my face a couple of times years ago and it didn't work so I gave up then as it's so expensive. If I remember rightly I had two x 6 sessions with no results. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was a teenager - however apparently it went away in my 30s as I started having regular periods and I got pregnant naturally aged 39.
I have a relative who is also very hairy and she has been getting it done professionally with an Alex laser so I'm thinking why does it work on other people and not me? But maybe a newly developed laser would work?
I really would like laser to work but is it the fact that it just doesn't with me? I have very pale skin - I would say i'm skin type 1 but I can get tanned although I guess it is quite difficult - I don't ever try anyway! My hair is dark - so in theory I'm a perfect candidate?
I'm so close to contacting a laser clinic.. perhaps laser is better now? But I don't want to do it and then spend lots of money with no results again. There is a salon near me that uses Motus AY that combines Alexandrite with Nd:YAG laser sources. My question is should I try? I am desperate for something to work as I find it incredibly embarrassing and depressing but I've lived with it for so long perhaps I should just put up with it like I have been.
