Hey there, I recently had a cobbler re-sole and re-stitch leather soles on one pair of my dress shoes. I am disappointed with the quality of the stitching and wanted to check with you if my expectations are too high. I paid around 100 Euros in Germany for it. The thread seems too thin to me, frayed, there is wax residue everywhere and many new stitches (instead of using the old holes) lead to a “busy/rustical” look instead of the original, aesthetic stitching (see brown shoe for comparison). What are your thoughts - is it worth to ask for a discount, or am I being too picky?
