I was told a long time ago that rear hub motors can break going up steep hills and as a result I have not used mine up a hill. This is fine because I live in a flat city, but I may move to a very hilly place. The hill in question is 1.5 miles with an elevation gain of 500ft. The steepest portion is 150 ft in a quarter mile. I guess I'm wondering if I can tackle this on my 750W rear hub motor or if I need to look at a mid-drive?
