Fire Recovery Exhibit at SMC
Hi all,
My UX Design class, along with the Journalism, Architecture, and Media departments at Santa Monica College is hosting a Fire Recovery exhibit at our annual CMD Student Showcase on June 11. All are welcome to the event and our student-led exhibit. We intend to share the stories of the Palisades community, educate people on fire safety, and showcase design projects focused on building in wildfire-impacted neighborhoods.
I wanted to ask this community if anyone affected by the fires would be willing to lend an item or photograph that remains after the fire. This would be a small part of the exhibit that honors the artifact you lend us and the story behind it. If you are willing to lend the physical object, I will ensure that it is kept safe, but a photo of it is more than enough!
