Just looking for a little guidance here.
We are moving on from our 29 drop 10 Vibe and plan to pick up a 30 drop 10 Icon or Supra this weekend. I'm pretty sold on the Supra but I think both will be fine. I'm only sold on the Supra, really, because its said to have a slightly larger sweet spot. Either way. Both are great.
My struggle is with size. My kid is in that funky in between. We are halfway through our travel season so I'm also looking at making sure it's useful for next season as well, with BP through the fall and winter.
His current size;
4'10"
96 pounds
*Current 29 inch bat reaches from center of chest to middle of fingers.
He's growing like a weed and we outgrew his 28 almost immediately last year. So I don't want to make that costly mistake again.
Bat speed is good. He's solidly a middle field hitter. Rarely pulls or goes opposite. Sees the ball well. So he's got some room to give on another ounce of weight (but I don't think that will matter) Any advice on which of the two is a more balanced bat, he does not like end-loaded bats at all. We see some crazy velocity from the AA and up teams.
