Feel question

I’ve had a helix for over a year now. I also have many plug ins for metal genres. The gojira from neural being my fav.

All of my plug ins have a feel to them that I can’t place into words, that the helix does not. Every neural plug in has this feel. The tonality pugs in and ml sound labs have them too. I can’t for the life of me replicate this on the helix and it’s driving me crazy.

It’s as if the plugins have a warm liquid feel and the helix has a cold dry feel. I’ve tried EVERYTHING. the latest being compression at the end of my chain. Every eq trick too.

Does anyone know what I’m talking about and how to fix it? I’m about ready to sell. It’s become an obsession at this point.

Side note all of my IRs that I’ve purchased sound like trash in the helix compared to every other plug in. Very void of character.

Edit: I feel like it must be a frequency. I want to add I’m play through DT 780 pro 80 ohms headphones and also 2 Yamaha HS5 monitors. It’s less noticeable on the monitors.

I’ve been using neural plug ins for a couple years now. Love them. I bought a Helix 1 year ago and while I enjoy it and think it sounds great, lately I’ve been going back to the plug ins. They’re so good and it’s hard to go back to the Helix. Should I get aQC?

Has anyone used both? Opinions? I’ve researched the QC for a long while so I’m aware of the differences. I’m more interested in an opinion of sounds.

High gain metal is what I play. I find myself endlessly adjusting helix presets I’ve made. I’m never ultimately happy with the sound. As where the plug ins I set and forget.
