I got papers of being sued by capital one for a debt they bought out I'm in North Carolina and the law states the statute of limitations state that it starts 3 years from your last payment partially paying or written letters to them there has no payment been made since January 22 2023 so I'm beyond the statu they are trying to use the last bill discover card sent to me as there way to sue me as its in the last 3 years but the law don't say anything about the last bill here it states payment or charge on card which is past 3 years can anyone help me out here on how to respond my answer through the courts sad thing this is my x debt but in my name so I got stuck thanks for any help I have the proof right off my credit report it want let me post a picture for some reason but shows date of last payment How do I properly file this with the courts
