Hello! I am a Manufacturing Engineer (BS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology) working through the Sigma Certifications now. The concepts of Six Sigma make sense to me but I'm having trouble connecting it to on the job actions. Maybe its just a problem with the two places I've worked, but I have no data to work with. Where I currently work there isnt even any computers on the floor for data capture!

Is this the norm basically everywhere? How do I capture enough data to apply Six Sigma with no existing data infrastructure?
