Failed the hurdle, what do I do? (MATH1071)
This subject has been a pain in my ass to no end. I'm doing mechanical engineering and the course profile said I could do MATH1051 or MATH1071, and since I qualified for 1071 I picked that option. terrible mistake. this class has kicked my ass to no end and I super ultra failed the hurdle. I should've known better when they offered to let us swap to 1051 in the first few weeks but my hubris wouldn't let me. Since then I've just been trying to get through so I can drop to 1052 next semester. Unfortunately, it still hasn't worked out.
From what I've found, if I can do reasonably well on the rest of the assessment I could get a supplementary exam to bump me back up to passing? I'm not sure how this works. Considering my situation, what do I do? Keep going and see if I can make that work or forget about it for now and focus on my other courses which aren't half as bad as this?
