Hi everybody. I recently brought my Wii out of storage for my children. I bought an adapter for our smart TV and everything has been working great. All the disc games work perfectly and we’ve been having a lot of fun. The issue is regarding games I bought from the Wii channel shop years ago. The mii channel works just fine and while the Forecast channel and Weather channel don’t work due to lacking internet access as it says they do still open. However, when I try to open my Super Mario Bros 3 or any other purchased game it will load for a moment. In particular Super Mario Brothers 3 loads the way that it always did, however, when I try to press the home button to actually begin playing the game it cuts to my TV loading screen and says no signal check your connection but the Wii remains on. When I press the home button again it will turn back on and I can click the Wii menu button to go back to the Wii menu. This happens with all games purchased from the Wii channel shop. I’ve tried resetting the console with no avail. I was thinking about trying to uninstall and reinstall the games though it would suck to lose a lot of old memories on them, but I’m afraid to with the closure of the Wii Channel Shop. Any advice is appreciated thank you very much.
