Coaching 7u kid pitch for the first time. Worked on the basics of a good swing at that age and we’ve seen a lot of improvement.

Now that we are into the season, 1/2 my team is really struggling against kid pitch. For 1/2 my line up, the ball is already past them before they start their swing. The other half is able to barrel most of the kids pitch we see. Giving all the kids the same cues to load their swing/hands before the ball leaves the pitchers hand.

Any advice on how to get kids that age to make a quicker decision and get their swing off sooner?
