Horrific Roommate Snoring

So it’s my first year of college and looking back on it, I’m not quite sure how I managed to get by sleep wise. My roommate is a chronic snorer and snores extremely aggressively. Usually I sleep through it, but lately I’ve quite literally been getting woken up by it in the middle of my sleep and it’s really annoying. It’s my last 4 weeks of this year so maybe I just thug it out. There’s really no point in telling him again that he woke me up again because what can he do about that.

Essentially I’ve told him a billion times and nothing really changes. On the bright side there is some strategy involved such as going to bed earlier before he gets back which is usually around 2 AM every night, which is a tried and tested method that has a 70% success rate. But how the hell am i supposed to do that when my friend forces me to watch AOT, the stimulus of which keeps me up and thinking for several hours in bed.

By the time i fall asleep now my roommate is already snoring his ass off. I like the guy but it’s extremely annoying and my impression of him is rightfully less than it would have been other wise just because of how much sleep I’ve lost bc of him.

Doesn’t help either that in a small room like this, his snores from his bunk essentially rebound off of the right wall and at the left wall where my bunk and EARS are located. It’s literally like having a megaphone in your ear of this snoring, except you don’t need one because he snores so damn aggressively.

I’m kind of just ranting and pretty irritated because sleep is the most important thing to me. Anyone have similar stories? Thoughts?

As an incoming sophomore transfer to BU, will I have a more social experience if I choose a multi-gender floor/dorm will I have a more social experience as opposed to choosing single gender dorm/floor? Does saying "no" to single gender open up more variety in dorm options?
