To review or not to review?

I did a patch test for a product I received, and had an allergic reaction. I won't be using the product again. Do I still review it and comment on other things about it, do I reach out to some kind of customer service and explain it? I can't exactly give it 5 stars, so it won't be a very positive review.

I don't even have sensitive skin and I have no idea what cause it, but in looking up other reviews, I'm not the only one who had a reaction to it.

Edit: not suggesting that I would otherwise feel forced to give a glowing review. I'm saying that I don't think it's a fair review of the product because I can't know if it's otherwise great and effective. So it's a bit of a shame to rate it poorly because I'm allergic when it otherwise might actually be great. More so wondering if there's a process to follow for cases like these.
