hey everyone 👋

i’m italian, based in milan, and i’ve been observing something over the past period that i wanted to ask you about

many expats i’ve met here (through work, friends, or events) often mention how difficult it is to actually build real friendships beyond the surface level. you meet people, go out a few times, but it often doesn’t really turn into something lasting

i was wondering if this is a common experience for you as well, or if it depends a lot on context / city / timing

lately i started thinking more about this and how people actually solve it in practice. it made me experiment a bit with organizing very small, informal things like hikes or simple group activities, just to create easier situations where people can actually connect naturally

curious to hear your perspective on this 👍

Also, I started working on this idea to help new people meet up. If you are curious here's the thing: https://www.ruvido.org/
