Post Fox attack
Hi all,
Last weekend we had a *very* dramatic fox attack that led to one chicken loss and one injury. I chased the fox who had my sweet Aster in his jaws when I came around the corner of the house and he dropped her but must have grabbed my bimbo baby Comfrey on his way out. I did chase him far but I didn’t realize Comfrey was wandering the woods and so I concentrated on Aster. -photo is the security camera footage of our shared trauma shock-
Anyways. The question is this : Aster had a bite mark on her back. I sprayed the wound and put her in our hospital coop and she has recovered nicely. The wound is healed well and she’s fluffed her feathers over the area. When can I let her return to the flock? Will the feathers regrow or will it wait until she molts or?
