The transmission in my 2002 Sienna died (Can you believe that? On a Toyota with under 200k miles? Garbagé) Anyway, this is a 2018 Nissan NV2500 high top V6 that I was not expecting to purchase. I work for a company that produces siding for houses, so I’m pretty sure I can get wood for the walls/roof. I’m thinking I’ll do spray foam for insulation beforehand. Flooring will be laminate with a layer of insulation underneath. The rest of it- I’m not too sure! I know that I don’t want to install a shower, and my camp toilet works fine for me. I could definitely see a kitchen sink with a countertop and some overhead bins for storage, but no legit plumbing or hookups, just two jerrycans underneath- One for fresh water and one for dirty. I do have a diesel heater that I’ll be installing. I’m thinking a sky light for ventilation, like my friend has in his RV. As far as electrical? That sounds complicated and expensive. I’m thinking of an ecoflow battery with a solar panel for charging- It’s not like I’m doing anything elaborate, just charging devices, MAYBE a small TV. My only concern is keeping cool during the summer, since I don’t want shore power and obviously can’t hook up an AC unit to a small battery like that. Anyway, this will be a simple build done on a budget. I’m planning on a Murphy bed that folds down from the side, too. I can keep my food cold with a traditional cooler.
What else would you suggest?
