I passed OA 1 on my first day! I took the pre assessment right away and figured out how to do the excel portion as I was doing the PA. It me over an hour to figure it out, but once I did, it’s not too bad! After the PA, I briefly went through the course material to brush up on theoretical framework. If I had to go it again, I’d probably read more throughly because on the OA I got unsatisfactory on theoretical framework but I still passed the OA because of acing the excel portion! So, if you want to accelerate, just ace the excel portion of OA1 and you’ll pass! I spent about 3 hours to pass (taking the PA twice, reviewing the course material, and taking the OA).
For OA 2, it was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. There were definitely questions on the OA that tripped me up where I thought 2 answers could’ve been right, but I just went with my gut and picked the one I thought was “most” right. But I’d say the OA was only about a bit harder than the PA, nothing crazy.
How I prepared for OA2 was I took the PA right away so I could understand what the material was going to go through. I the went through all the course material and took all the module quizzes, tests, and unit tests. The material wasn’t too bad to read through since I saw what they were asking on the PA. Anything I didn’t understand or questions I got wrong, I used AI to teach me. This definitely helped me once I got to inventory because I could not understand misstatements for inventory until AI could teach me.
Yesterday, I went through the study guides in the course resources. For TVM and cash & receivables, the study guides were great and helped me understand the material more. The inventory one felt more confusing than helpful, at least for me. So, all afternoon I just used AI to give me practice questions on misstatements, which was more helpful than the study guide. Then, I took the PA again, and got exemplary. I reviewed the handful of questions I missed again, I understood why I got them wrong. I decided to just take the OA right after and passed!!
If you understand how and why of each of the PA questions you’ll do great on OA2! I spent about 10 hours on OA2. I have a photographic memory, so I can retain and learn stuff usually pretty quick. So, if you take the time to study and just practice questions over and over, this class isn’t too hard! Just about a step up from D102!
Now off to D104! (I’m going on vacation this week, but excited to dive into the material when I get back, even though I’m scared too because I know a lot of people say it’s the hardest class).
