Feedback request: 3D configurator I built (not a dev) — what’s confusing/broken?
Hi r/SideProject 👋
I’m looking for honest usability feedback on a web-based 3D product configurator I built for configuring industrial workbenches / workstations.
Link - https://konfigurator.jabama.pl/ - default language is Polish, but you can change it click "world" button on the top of the site. (Desktop recommended — mobile is not properly supported due to limitations of the external engine we use.)
I’m NOT looking for customers here. I’m trying to understand why people don’t use the configurator (we’ve had only a few inquiries/orders over several months), and whether the issue is UX, clarity, bugs, performance — or something else I’m blind to.
I’m an IT guy in a small company (not a software developer). We use a third‑party configurator engine (so there are some constraints), but I built almost everything around it: structure, steps, UI logic, options, descriptions, product rules, 3D models setup, etc. I did the best I could — now I need outside eyes.
Please configure any table/workbench from start to finish:
- Pick any product type
- Add/modify any options you want (feel free to experiment)
- Try to reach the end of the flow (summary / PDF / inquiry step ). You don't have to populate any rows. Just try how it works
You can generate a PDF / open the final summary if you want.
If you reach the email form and want to test it, you may use a fake email. I’ll be genuinely grateful for every single comment. If you roast it hard — that’s fine. I’d rather hear the truth than stay stuck.
Thank you!
