I'm a final year med student, and at this stage I am BPT keen. I am considering going regional for PGY1/2 for the experience and because my partner wants to do surgery, is bonded and wants those regional points. We are wanting to come back to metro NSW after PGY1/2, so I'm hoping to apply for BPT in metro NSW after PGY2.
I was wondering- how difficult is it to get a BPT spot at RNSH, RPA, Concord, PoW without being a JMO there first? Is it likely that I will have to do an SRMO year before getting on?
