Hi everyone,
I’m trying to find a TV commercial I saw as a kid in Russia around 1992–1993 (in the city of Tula, on one of the main state TV channels).

The commercial had a very distinctive and slightly eerie atmosphere, and it really stuck with me.

Here’s what I remember:

  • It starts with a shaman alone in a snowy tundra, performing a ritual dance with a drum (looked cinematic, not documentary).
  • The scene felt mysterious and even a bit scary to me as a child.
  • Then there is a hard cut to an Inuit/Eskimo family inside a dark hut, watching TV at night.
  • The family members are smiling and talking to each other, but we don’t hear their voices.
  • I think they might have been watching the same shaman dancing on the TV screen.
  • At the end, there’s a voice-over and a logo, likely advertising satellite TV or a satellite dish, something along the lines of “TV everywhere” or “even in remote places”.

As a kid, this commercial both scared and fascinated me, and I would actually wait for it to come on again.

Does anyone remember something like this or know what it might be?

Thanks!
