Hey! I recently read Blood Meridian and a ton of quotes were perfect, mostly because it wasn’t so much about the words themselves but the scene setting or poetic but harsh descriptions like:
“Abuelita, he said. No puedes escucharme?
He reached into the little cove and touched her arm. She moved slightly, her whole body, light and rigid. She weighed nothing. She was just a dried shell and she had been dead in that place for years”
