Birad Level 4. Second Opinion Birad Level 5.

This is just going to hopefully help someone that comes across this when they experience a Birad 4 or 5.
My first doctor rated me a Birad 4. Vascularity (drawing in its own blood support), irregularity in shape, and a solid mass.
Second opinion, a Birad 5. I saw the ultrasound and the mass was vertical (non-parallel). Had all aspects of an abnormality. This is a 95% chance it is cancer.
Got a biopsy and waited for results. When I saw the first report of a 4 changed to a 5, my heart absolutely dropped. We waited for the phone call and found out it was fat necrosis. No recent trauma I can remember either….
Just please if you are panicking. Don’t pull your reports in MyChart and try to diagnose. My family and I were panicking and preparing for the worst. Get the biopsy, get it tested if you are ever worried. And wait for the results. You will be okay! Even the worst possible scores may turn out to be ok but always get checked!!
