Ultrasound Results

Finally had my mammogram and ultrasound. Bi-Rads 4. The radiologist said afterward that he strongly felt that it was a fibroadenoma or something lactationally related since I found it during weaning. and he said that he strongly felt it was a benign thing. Trying not to panic after reading the actual report though. 🤪 Does anyone have any thoughts?

I had a normal well woman exam on last Tuesday (breast exam etc). I have been weaning gradually over the past two months. I’ve been down to one nightly feed for a couple weeks, and lately my little one hasnt even really been interested in eating much, so she hasnt been removing much milk. On Friday, I wore a tight bra (dumb I know) and noticed it was very uncomfortable halfway through the day. I took a shower that evening and saw some thicker milk coming from my nipple which normally doesn’t happen. I went to hand express and found a firm grape sized lump at the base of my breast. It’s going on five days. Its a little tender, but I have no signs of mastitis. Im trying not to panic that this is cancerous. I have an appointment with my OBGYN in ten days.

does anyone have any similar experiences?

I officially stopped breastfeeding yesterday, but I’m trying to get my milk to finish drying up.
